We’re starting this week, with the staple of most diets – Butter!
1. Make your own CBD oil-infused butter
An ingredient like butter is versatile and can be added to many savoury snacks.
When you are making your own CBD butter, the key is to infuse the CBD oil in the butter slowly, and over a low heat. This allows the CBD to become incorporated without getting scorched, and without evaporating the active compounds.
We recommend starting with about 15 ml of our traditional oil for 500 gr of butter. Start by cutting the butter into several pieces, and then placing it in a medium saucepan. Next, pour in the CBD oil, and about 1 quart of water.
Set the burner to a low heat, and cook for about 3-4 hours. Make sure to check on and stir the butter about every 30 minutes. When you are done combining the CBD oil and butter, pour the mixture into a bowl, and chill it for two hours.
Once you’ve made your own CBD-infused butter, you can use it to make any variety of savoury snacks. One of our favourites is simply melting the butter over some hot popcorn. You can also use it as a condiment at dinner time on your meat or potatoes.
But you can also use it to make biscuits, or even just spread it on toast. And, if you do get a sweet tooth, you can use the butter to make any of your favourite baked goods.
